Evan and his mommy went to the Milwaukee area to see our friend Elsa and her mommy. He had a lot of fun playing with Elsa's toys. Here he has the popper which was a favorite, he gets his whole body into it. Good thing we have one at home. Elsa was very nice to let baby Evan play with her toys. We're all very excited about Elsa's little sister arriving next month. At home, Evan is very curious about anything he can get his hands on. Closing doors seems to be endlessly entertaining as long as he doesn't close the door and end up in an empty room, which has happened several times. Toys are still fun but so are tupperware, pots and lids, mommy's hairbrush, and telephone cords. He's also very good at getting up on his knees to watch his bath water running. We can hardly believe that it's almost 1 year since he blessed his parents lives with his presence.

Evan's crazy hair

Yea, it's uncle Reid and aunt Suzie!
We loved having uncle Reid and aunt Suzie come for a visit. Here, Evan shows off his lounging skills, Reid's lap is a perfect place for it. Evan was able to show off all his new talents and habits. His crawling speed has increased exponentially, he can zoom across the room in no time. He really likes doors, cabinet doors, room doors, baby gate doors. If one of the baby gate doors is left open, he has no trouble getting through them. Balls continue to be a crowd pleaser, the little plastic ones make noise on the hard floor when he throws them. Lately, he's lost interest in being fed, he'd much rather feed himself. Pasta works well, Cheerios, baby hot dogs, and cheese in the from of Kraft singles. He will let us feed him rice, potato soup (who knew), DQ ice cream. He's also starting pointing and commenting on things that catch his attention. Often times it's the fan or celing fixture. We're not quite sure what his opinions are but they seem positive.
It feels like spring is finally here
Even though we went to the tot lot many times last summer, we're just now ready to get out of the stroller and really check things out. Not surprisingly, the swing is still a hit. The breeze really makes Evan's hair poufy. The grass slowed him down a little, here he is sampling the leaves, thankfully they were not to his taste. Can't wait to go again.
Whew! I'm worn out

Our home office
Why can't I hold the water in my hands?
Bath time continues to be fun time. Splashing is a favorite, as well as dropping the bath toys out of the tub. Evan often times can't stay still for drying off, lotion, and putting on pajamas. He also squirms a lot during diaper changing. He doesn't know why he can't practice his crawling while he's on the changing table.
I like to play with the big boys
