I'm so smart

Evan is speaking more and more lately. We've had these little stuffed toys for over a year now and he's shown little interest. Then one day I was showing them to him with their names and he seemed to repeat the names. Daddy then made it into a game. Evan is so proud when he finishes the games and of course, we have to repeat the game over and over.

Happy 2nd birthday and Easter

The Kase family got cleaned up and actually went to church for Easter Sunday. We made sure to document it. We had a lovely spring day.
As usual, Evan wouldn't sit still for a picture, especially when there was candy in the vicinity.
Here he is getting his first taste of Peeps which he really didn't like that much but doesn't he look cute in his new vest. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa.

Evan had his birthday party a week early since it was on Easter this year. He liked his cake and he knew how to blow out his candle. Actually, he really liked the frosting and didn't even need the cake.
Evan also had his 2 year check up. His stats are 35" tall and 26 lbs and 3 oz. That puts him at about the 75th percentile for height (and predicts he'll be 5' 10" as a full grown adult). Surprisingly, that also puts him slightly underweight for his height so it's doctor's orders to eat more! He has been changing in many other ways, too. He's been talking more and more and saying several phrases like "for you", "whaz zah" (what's that?) and "wah woo" (where are you?). He's curious about everything, he likes to grab things from the kitchen drawers or the kitchen table, followed by running away so he can check it out. The running away occurs quite often actually, usually for fun but we're a little worried when we're outside or in public. One of his favorite bed time games is hiding under a blanket as Daddy walks up the stairs. Daddy has a really hard time finding a squirming, giggling little boy but he does find him every time.
