Life is good

It's been another big week for Evan. He acquired both a car and a house! They were paid with cash, no less. He's moving up in the world. The car needs external power, in the form of mommy or daddy, but otherwise it's Evan's favorite purchase so far.

Here Evan's showing us how he's practicing to be a couch potato. How he justs need the remote and a drink.

Evan's newest skill now doesn't even require help from a big person. This fire engine or his ride on toy are both multi purpose. Some other new developments include giving high fives, knocking on closed doors and giving mommy and daddy books to read. Actually reading the book isn't really what we do, it has more to do with turning the pages and looking at the pictures. Right now the favorite books include Go, Go Cars (boats, planes etc.) and the first book of Mighty Movers.

The fun never ends

It sure looks like summer. This is our inaugural use of the pool and it went over well, the bubbles are just a bonus. We are going to make our own solution so we can keep "bubbling" all summer.

Here's one of Evan's new talents: feeding himself with a spoon. We're not sure what other foods he can do this with but it's a good start. Currently, he's our little eating machine. One night he had an entire grilled cheese sandwich, the same as mommy, how is that possible? Anything with cheese is a favorite, and as demonstrated above, potatoes: mashed, french fried, soup.

Our little explorer is apparently not claustrophobic. Basically, this is another version of peek a boo which never loses it appeal. He even does it himself, as long as he covers his own eyes, we must not be able to see him.
